Before everyone jumps on the "YouTube Hates Breastfeeding" bandwagon, I'd
like to point out that the video used a song by Christina Aguilera as the
soundtrack. I spoke with Kristen at the League of Maternal Justice and she
said they were never told the video was removed because of the breastfeeding
images. They simply received a form letter stating it was removed because of
"innapropriate content." YouTube itself listed the video as being removed
for "violation of YouTube TOS."

Sincere there is no shortage of breastfeeding videos on YouTube (just run a
search) and no shortage of breasts period on YouTube (don't run a search)
I'd say common sense dictates that the video was most likely removed for
copyright violation on the song.

While there are plenty of other videos still live using copyrighted
material, this video received a lot of attention and traffic. That's going
to flag it to get reviewed more quickly. It's quite possible YouTube
received a C&D order from Aguilera's record label.

Kristen tells me they have uploaded the video with a new soundtrack (legal
music). Let's wait and see if the video is removed again before we start
getting all up in arms about this.

Nothing makes a movement lose credibility faster than inaccurate knee-jerk
reactions.
