I'm sorry I can't remember who asked about cup feeding containers and I
am behind in my reading so may be duplicating someone else's responce
here but...I use the type of cups found in many USA fast food joints
but in the 1 ounce size, these cups (S _ _ O ) have a rounded edge that
is softer than a medicine cup on the infant's lip.  They are
inexpensive and in the US easily obtainable at the type of store that
sells wholesale/discount items (like P _ _ E, or P _ _ _ E C _ _ B_).
I don't use the size seen in the fast food joints.  These are usually
1/2 ounce or if 1 ounce they are the flat, wide version.  I use the 1
ounce version that is about the same size as the medicine cups.  They
hold exactly 30 mls if filled to the brim, 25 mls if filled (more
practical) to the little line near the bottom of the rolled edge.  They
are not sterile but are manufactured as a food container.

As to breastfeeding in the mentioned middle eastern city (sorry again,
I can't remember the name).  I recently met a woman who had recently
lived in Saudi Arabia and asked her about public breastfeeding there.
She said it was common to see a bare breast with a covered face.  She
felt if the mother wanted to bring a small blanket for her own modesty
it was fine but that the culture did not demand it.   My husband spent
several months in Kuwait about 18 months ago and said the use of the
black cover gown seemed to be divided along the ages of the women, with
the younger women wearing western dress.
