Pam,
Hi! I, too, live in the country in and am experiencing an obnoxious smell
permating from under our house. Have noticed it the last few warm spells
and sent the hubby, much to his dismay, on an expedition and his quest
produced absolutely nothing! I fear something is entombed between the
walls! The cat ran away some time ago and my boys are only 7,5,3, and 7
months and I'd rather not send them or me on this kind of journey! Lucky you
to have such cheap and enthusiastic help! My hubby says the smell will soon
go away and it is probably just a mouse but, I think it smells like an elephant!

Nursing Rooms-I had an experience recently while visiting a local museum.
Was nursing on a bench in open corridor when ,after being observed by two
whispering guards for some time, was approached and asked if I wanted to see
their Nursing Room? I answered that I had just finished nursing but would
love to see it since such a thing is a rarity. Well, much to my surprize,
it was an interior tiny bathroom with a msall metal frame dressing chair! I
laughed and ask them if they ever ate their lunch in a bathroom and they
laughed saying they thought I might want some privacy.
Nursing rooms/Mother lounges are starting to very slowly show up in places
around here. Although I would personally like to see breastfeeding in public
the norm, atleast this is a tiny step in the right direction! Just looking
at things in a positive light-"you have to crawl before you walk!" I
noticed quite a few Nursing Rooms/Mother's lounges in England. I also
noticed ALOT of women from different cultural backgrounds nursing freely in
public. Our particular area has a long way to go! Also, right in front of
Buckingham Palace there is this statue with a woman nursing her child. I
tried to get pictures of it but nothing came out. Can anyone tell me about
this statue?

Kathy Parkes,
Recently one of my Moms delivered 3 months premature-Medicaid authorized
pump rental for her while the baby was in the hospital. Have you checked
with the local WIC office/Health Department? Often times they have electric
pumps free for use for low income Moms in just this situation.
