We are revising and updating our free "Breast Friends: The King County
Breastfeeding Resource Guide" for it's second edition hopefully going to
print in June. Our first edition was so incredibly popular that we ran out
of 3,000 copies quickly. We also get 5000+ hits to the website per month,
with a sharp increase planned for this next edition.
King County encompasses the Seattle, WA metropolitan area and has about 1+
million residents. We are totally non-profit and a 100% volunteer effort.
The WHO Code compliant advertising and proceeds are what pays for the
printing and materials of this project.
Here's what we need from you! We are looking for lots of breastfeeding dyad
pictures from all cultures of moms and babies. Also, we're looking for
family shots, dads and babies, grandparents, moms nursing in public places,
etc.
Our graphic design students are going to do a collage of these photos to
appear on the front cover and the front of the website, so they will show
LOTS of nursing families doing the normal, everyday thing. The website and
book will also have these photos individually included on a variety of
pages.
We'll take just about anything with good latch and position in it! Also, we
can't afford to pay for these photos, so we are relying on your generosity
for our 100% volunteer, truly non-profit, grassroots effort! Of course,
hotlinked credit for the photographer is always given, and we'd love to
trade publicity on our site for your photo use.
