Babies learn by watching what we do and what we enjoy.  We can't keep eating 
solid foods a secret :-)  Give the baby some credit for being able to figure 
out that if I grab this morsel and put it in my mouth (where everything 
goes)  it's yummy and more fun to try and eat than the toys on the floor or 
pebbles on the ground.
Why do we instinctively give babies "tastes" of whatever we're enjoying?
