I worked with a mom this Fall who vaginally birthed a breech baby (apparently there is only 1 OB/GYN in NYC who will do this?!).  Her baby had difficulty latching, high arch palate, submucosal tt.  Mom suffered dearly from prolonged engorgement, poor transfer due to tt and nipple damage.  Mom did eventually get tongue clipped.  Anyway, I don't think that breech babies are any more or less prone to poor latching then any other baby, but the amount of trauma or lack of labor in the case of a planned c-section could explain delayed latching quite well.
