I have a mom who delivered a Trisomy 21 baby. The baby also has some
cardiac issues nothing pressing but was told to try to increase the calories so
baby gains well. Mom has breastfed 2 other children and is breastfeeding this
baby. I told her about lactoengineering but I would like to give her some
written information. I tried to look under Paula Meier's work but can't
couldn't find anything that would be good to give this mom. I don't want to give
her research papers nor have to calculate the exact calories just make her milk
richer when needed.
Thanks,
Ann Perry, RN IBCLC
