Not necessarily.  Anecdotally, I knew one woman who never ovulated until
her son was completely weaned at three year of age.  She had very little
body fat, which I believe was a factor.

Personally, I resumed menses at around 10 months pp with no ovulation for
two cycles after my first child, who started solids at six months.  With my
second child menses returned at about 15 months.  She also started solids
at six months and had regular meals with the family.
