I got to see and hold one of the first copies of" Breastfeeding :
Biocultural Persectives" today. It should be available in the next
couple of weeks. Boy, are you all in for a treat. There are
wonderful chapters by Michael Woolridge, Allan Cunningham, Marc
Micozzi, Penny Van Esterick, the editors, Kathy Dettwyler and
Patricia Stuart-Macadam, and many more. There is a warm intro by Ed
Newton and commentaries by Ruth Lawrence and Doren Fredricksen. It
is a powerful resource that I will look forward to using. My
favorite reference in the book is about the creaming effect in milk
which was demonstrated by turning a cow on her back and milking her
upside down. You'll love it. Cathy Liles
