Jodine, in other coverage I've seen of this dubious-ly
newsworthy event of Madonna lecturing on public
decency, Madonna calls this act of mother
breastfeeding her child "incest."  She is allegedly
outraged that a tv station would show film of incest.

Does anyone recall a late 1980s music video of Madonna
performing a strip tease for a very young boy???

The brief clip I saw of the Illinois mother with her
son showed mom reading a Harry Potter novel to her son
snuggled in for a bedtime story, cupping the breast as
he nurses.  For anyone not familiar with children
nursing: the scene was so typical, so nonchalant, it
took my breath away.  I cannot count the number of
times I've seen a 4/6/8 yr old cuddle up with mom in
exactly the same pose.

Shame on Madonna for seeking publicity at the expense
of a strong-willed single mother who thinks for
herself and puts her son's needs above society's
sensibilities.  I may not agree with every choice this
mother makes, but I have to say the woman has eggs.
In fact, she's showing the kind of chutzpa I'd expect
Madonna to applaud.
