Dating myself :-) Do you remember a book called  "You Can Breastfeed Your Baby...even in special circumstances" by  Dorothy Patricia Brewster. c. 979. (I identify with her because I'm a Dorothy Patricia too :-)
Anyway she wrote up my friend Jan Baker's experience .  Jan found out she was pregnant the day before the adoption agency called to say they had a baby girl for her.  Jessica was 10 days old when they got her and Jan used an SNS for about 7 months.  She describes being too uncomfortable the last month of pregnancy to nurse, but resumed after Rachel was born.  There is a picture of the two babies breastfeeding at 14 months and 6 months.  Pat in SNJ
