Agennix considers itself the world leader in the development of recombinant
human lactoferrin (rhLF).  They own some 70 or more patents and approximately
50 more pending patents.  This recombinant will be used for the treatment of
cancer, asthma, and wound healing.  The FDA considers recombinants the same as
the real thing.  Thus, by this policy, I would assume that the recombinant
human lactoferrin works the same as human lactoferrin in human milk.

In June of last year Dr. Frank Young took over the position of Chairman of
the Board of Directors.  Dr. Frank Young at one time was a US Commissioner of
the FDA and Assistant US Surgeon General for the Department of Health and Human
Services.  He has worked on the Executive committee of the World Health
Organization.  He was also the Pastor of the Fourth Presbyterian church and member
of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations.  He was the head of the State
Department Delegation to the AD Hoc Biotechnology Working Group of the
Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development that created international
agreements in biotechnology.  He is a charter member of the Recombinant DNA
Advisory Committee of the Department of Health and Human Services.  He helped with
the drafting of the framework on biotechnolgy for the federal government.   He
is a member of the Institute of Medicine....just a long list of

According to his bio at the Christian Medical and Dental Associations he
continues to advise the US Government and he is chairman of the BOD to Agennix.
Fascinating.....Agennix products are based on human milk research and the
chairman of their Board of Directors has worked for the DHHS.  Yet the DHHS seems
to need proof of the science that supports the Breastfeeding Campaign messages.
