I don't know anything about the medicine you mentioned, but I was wondering if this mother is pumping at all. She may already being doing this but if she isn't: Even if she started out with adequate milk supply, if the baby isn't being efficient and is having some difficulty on the breast, then mom's milk production isn't being adequately stimulated and will decrease. In that case the pump can assist in increasing the supply (along with galactagogues if necessary). Once the baby can effectively nurse and her production is WNL she can gradually stop pumping.
