What is a TANF mother?  Perhaps all U.S. readers know what this is, but at
least some of us outside the U.S. do not.  Or perhaps this is a healthcare
abbreviation that I haven't come across (although I am an RN).

Please can we cut down on using any abbreviations not likely to be
understood by a majority or any significant minority of list members?  They
are exclusionary.
