I had an infant who I was going to send to have his tongue *clipped*  It was
a real mile tongue tie but the tongue just didn't come forward and mom had a
lot of nipple pain. when I saw the baby 24 hours later-- the tongue tie was
gone. I couldn't even find any remaining pieces of the frenulum.  Here's the
question: can kids *rupture* these themselves or does someone have to cut it?
