This case was discussed on Lactnet months ago, and now it has gone to trial:
 http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/08/14/baby.death.ap/index.html

(A 3-month old died and his mother is accused of giving him an overdose of
methamphetamine via her breastmilk. She denies this and says she was
bottle-feeding him at the time of his death.)

The question that was asked on-list in January but went unanswered was this:
would it even be possible for that much meth to be delivered to a baby via
breastmilk? Pharmacists, can you shed any light? Meth is not covered in
Hale and I don't know where else to look for the scoop on its pharmacology
WRT breastfeeding.

Intensely curious, and missing Lactnet (been on no mail much of the summer!),
