Sandy,
Regarding your mom with chronic clogged milk ducts:
1. Stress the importance of more frequent emptying even if is an abbreviated
pumping session. Perhaps she can explain the need to a sympathetic boss?
2. I have found that immersing the nipple or breast into a basin of warm water
will work better on those clogged nipple pores than just warm compresses.
3. Massage while soaking
4. Pump or breastfeed directly after soaking/massaging
5. Get rid of underwire
6.Lecithin added to diet for chronic plugged ducts. I believe the reference is
either Auerback or Lawrence. My books are in the office so I can't look it up
right now.

I think the infrequent emptying is a problem here that may need to be
addressed by her if at all possible. So many working women have to deal with
lack of adequate break time to pump.

Good luck!
