This list has always had its busy times and its slow times. Some reasons have to do with holidays, others with the bee seasons in various regions.

Members also get involved with bee discussions elsewhere, and some get dropped by overactive spam filters and don't notice.

A few people are very sensitive to disagreement and leave in a huff. Others just come to start a fight and get insulted when they cannot.

We get influxes of new people sometimes when BEE-L is mentioned in other forums.

A problem is that BEE-L is not that easy to find, and the LISTSERV commands are not familiar to many.,so if you want to stimulate activity, recommend BEE-L elsewhere and suggest going to https://www.BEE-L.org. That is the easiest entry.

Also, if BEE-L it is written lower case (bee-l), point out that the L is an L, not a one . That can be confusing.
