Well, I can vouch for that. After baby #1 I dropped weight like until I was
about 10 pounds below normal (and normal wasn't exactly a lot), couldn't
keep weight on. With baby # 2 I really tried to keep weight on (and this is
not something people appreciated me sharing!) but still lost until I was
about 10 pounds below my pre-baby weight. So on a
5' 5" frame I was about 110 pounds. Babies gained great though. I saw a
nutritionist once and we estimated I was taking in at least 2500 calories a
day, but must have had a metabolism in overdrive.
Now that both are weaned my weight came up to about 120 and seems to stay
there pretty easily.
