Dear Friends:
I wonder if the researchers in this study asked about bed-sharing in
infancy. Neither of my children (insignificant sample of 2) has ever had
sleep problems, whereas a woman I know, who started letting her baby "cry it
out" at 6 weeks, has had many sleep troubles with her son.
"A recent study published in the February issue of the Journal of
Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics reported that more than one-third of
school-age children may experience sleep-related disorders. A few of the
disorders included: bedwetting, problems with falling asleep or remaining
asleep, night walking, or breathing difficulties while sleeping. "
