I missed the previous post on this so it may or may not be apropriate for me
to reply.  My son developed a lump on the side of his neck at two weeks of
age.  At first we were told it could be a hematoma caused by delivery with
forceps.  His head was cocked to the side.  At 5 weeks he was admitted for
fever of unknown origin....during that stay we were visited by physical
therapy and instructed on exercises and positions for feeding to help stretch
this muscle...now diagnosed as torticollis.  Thereafter went to see another
doctor and began PT until 7 months.  He straightened out just fine and it
never caused a problem.
