Actually, I was thinking of more of the US than Australia - although
litigation is increasing here too.
An IBCLC is not necessarily able to prescribe medication - it depends on
other qualifications and local laws. Therefore it is unlikely that
performing a frenotomy will be a compulsory part of IBCLC practice.
