There's some good thoughts about FTT that have been posted on this thread
Cathy B points out the "intangible" difference in evalating a child and
Kathy D helps keep us grounded in the "science" and "cultural" areas.
I'd like to add one point - I also look at activity level when I evaluate
weight gain in the infant and toddler. Some kids who have started to dip
off the curve they've been on are [or have just become] mobile and it is
amazing - they can be all over the exam room during the visit. It makes you
tired just watching them. These are also the kids who are "too excited"
about exploring their environment to sit and eat for more than their
immediate needs.
