For those of you who haven't seen this in Mothering, it might be useful to
keep in your files to share with families using Ezzo, or who have questions
about it. I could really appreciate his pointing out some dads' desire to
control something of this whole childbearing experience and therefore
jumping on the Ezzo bandwagon. In my experience with Ezzo families, it seems
to be the dad who is into control and the mom who is more torn between what
she was taught and what she feels her baby needs. I will never forget my
horror with a young father who lifted his 4 day old daughter up to his face
and said, smiling, "You will have to learn that you answer to me, and not
the other way around. I'm doing this for your own good." This was said about
scheduling her feedings! Poor little baby!!!!!
