Dear Lactnetters, I need helping in helping a mom who wants to wean her 15
month old baby girl. The mom works as a midwife. Her daughter bf at 6 AM,
at 7 AM goes to day care until 4 PM. The mother says that in the afternoon
when she is home with her daughter she wants to bf a lot and also during
the night she wakes up about 5 times. The mother doesn't want a family bed
arrangement. I am aware of the psychological implications here--especially
the difficulty of the little toddler being in day care for so many hours.
I am writing from Israel and this situation is accepted as ok here.
The mother is exhausted and feels that its enough.
Her toddler doesn't use a pacifier or a bottle.
There is an older boy -- 4 years old.
Any suggestions, examples, etc. You can email me privately or post on
lactnet. [log in to unmask]
Thanks.
