I want to thank Joanne McCrory for her eloquant description (with
references) of the interactive relationship between mother and child, the
way it impacts on neurological and social development, and for drawing the
connections on how devastating artificial modes of dogma-based child rearing
(ie Ezzo and others) can prove. What I love so much about unrestricted
breastfeeding, is that it fosters a kind of authentic communication between
mother and baby which provides a biologic insurance policy that mitigates
somewhat for the fact that none of us, really, are prepared for parenthood.
