Am I the only one wondering if this mom's frustration in parenting could be
coming from subtle or not so subtle negative vibes she may be getting about
'still' nursing a 16 month old?

I could personally see a lot of less educated about bfing people
considering this to be "not setting limits" and "letting her get away with
murder" (heck, haven't we all heard longer nursing moms get told this kind
of nonsense?).

I don't know, if I was 14, and people were looking down on me about my
nursing relationship, particularly if someone opened their mouth about
abuse or whatever, combined with the normal frustrations of being a teen
parent, it could cause me to be quite edgy.

I know with many teen moms it's a very fine line between criticizing their
parenting and giving them support... "My god you let her out of her carseat
what are you thinking you cannot let her get away... yadda yadda" vs
"You're not a bad mom if you make her stay in her car seat even if she
cries! No, that's good parenting, setting limits and keeping her safe,
that's a good thing for you to do!"

but man did my mom ever have PPD about not being able to...
