I have searched the archives and have not found an answer to my question, so
here it goes. I have a mom of twins whose babies developed severe GI problems
(vomiting and diarrhea) at age 6 weeks. Allergies to something in mom's diet
was suspected, so she was told by a GI specialist to eliminate dairy and
peanuts from her diet and ONLY feed the babies breastmilk from her breast
after 2-3 days. She was told not to feed them pumped refrigerated or frozen
milk after that cleanout because refrigerating or freezing could "change the
composition of the milk." Is that true? I had never heard that to be the
case. She is currently pumping and dumping to keep supply up. Please e-mail me
privately or on lactnet with any info on this theoretical change in
composition.
