I have shown this video many, many times and (to my surprise) the fact
that the last mother shown has had an epidural has never been
commented on! My main reason for showing it is to discuss the
importance of the first hour after birth. I do explain that in "real
life", the mother would hold and help her baby as appropriate.
Weighing, measuring, bathing etc. are just *not* important in the
bigger picture and parents have a right to insist on that first
precious hour together with no interruptions. IMHO.
