I have this video and do use it. However, the medication used in this study
is (US) Demerol which is not a medication used much in our area because it
has repeatedly been shown to cause problems in infants. The narcotics used
in our hospitals are Stadol and Nubian -- I have not found such strong
studies condemning those drugs.

I do discuss the video before and after the viewing, giving my class full
info on the study. I also explain some of the Klaus and Klaus research re
how and why an infant is able to self-attach and what parents can do to aid
in the first feeding, no matter the infants responses.
