Dear Becky, ooooh, I guess I missed the part about the bili and bili
blanket! I imagine the BF was very ineffective while bili was high. As a
nurse who has done home vss I am shocked that baby was followed in that
way. We made daily vss to baby at home with bili blanket, did wt and bili
test right in the home. I'm appalled that he wasn't followed closely -
feel that is a major issue to take up with ins co & HCP who would order a
bili blanket without close follow-up by a vss nurse! If a tragedy had
occurred, mom would have been blamed for not noticing, but whose fault is
it really? The ins co & HCP. Bili blankets should not be used so
casually! Gads- what is US health care coming to?!? Glad he is doing
better since yesterday. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
