Actually, from all I've read the HIV+ transmission rates are something like
4% to children from mothers if certain precautions are taken: artificial
insemination, drugs during pregnancy, and a scheduled c/section at term (I
should note that is still too high to risk for *my* personal tastes with
the current status of HIV treatment and non-cure). And where I live at
least, HIV+ men are strongly counseled to get a vasectomy because everyone
knows sometimes condoms break.
