Regarding Judy's inquiry about newborns with a high bilirubin:
I am under the impression that the current recommendation is that babies get
SEEN by a health care provider, not a phone call. Jaundice is probably a
major reason. In the untrained eye,(or exhausted mom's eye) it may not be
adequately described over the phone. Babies with high bilis may have all of
the other signs of doing fine.
