Carol,
I saw the organic formula in the health food store last week and had the
same concerns. If you haven't called the company yet, I'd be curious to
hear what is in the "natural flavors." This term can include anything from
sugar to MSG. I've had friends who were into health foods (and I am, too,
so I'm not putting that down) come up with all kinds of interesting
philosophies about feeding their kids. They did all breastfeed, but they
would do things like use goat's milk instead of cow's milk when the child
started drinking other things than mom's milk, because "the goat is a
smaller animal" (so?).
So I agree, this product will get used as an infant formula just because
it's organic.
