This pushes my buttons as well!

I have heard all the arguments - even the very naive ones that pose as
being sophisticated or even subversive...get the formula company to pay for
your training, or your lunch, or your tea and coffeee, or your posters, or
your whatever...and teehee teehee, they won't even know we are 'really'
breastfeeding advocates. Because we are 'really' super-smart and unable to
be influenced by it all...and the poor old rep hasn't got an idea, and we
are just taking his money and running, teehee.

Sheesh.

I would urge you all to keep plugging away, because things can change. They
have done, a bit, here.

Yes, there are still awards sponsored by the formula companies, travel
burseries and so on (and boy - they are pathetic in size - a few hundred
pounds and often even less - some people are so *cheap*). And some places
have lunches. And the pens and the other stuff keep popping up. Cheap again.

But, truly, these incidences are getting fewer and fewer because enough
people at all levels are saying 'no' and feeling brave enough to challenge
their colleagues. They know it reflects on their professional honour. That
should be worth more to them than a pen.
