That's attachment as in email attachment , nothing to do with latching on : )
Can I ask people not to send them to the list?
I am frequently told by people who know far more than I do about these
things that attachments are one of the prime ways to spread computer
viruses - whether they have a hint in their name of the virus or not.
Accidental virus transmission happens more often with attachments than with
anything else.
I just don't open them these days, and I trash the mail they came with -
and I expect others do, too, so it's a waste of time and bandwidth to send
them : (
The answer is to send what you need as part of the email, or to post it on
a website (if you can) and then to a URL link.
