Why not? Folders can be really cheap, and the hospital or dep't can print
their own logo/copy/whatever on labels & stick 'em on the folders. Our
hospital found it was actually cheaper to purchase plain 3-ring binders to
put all the info in, and they can be personalized with the various
appropriate info - individual doctors' discharge instruction sheets, the
local BF resources & phone #s, C/S care, breast or bottle feeding info, all
that stuff in one place, and it looks quite important, and because it's
pretty substantial it doesn't get just shuffled away like stray papers do.

The stuff from the formula companies is absolutely NOT "free"! Or does
anyone know if Medela or of the "good" pump companies would provide them
"free" to hospitals? Perhaps whichever company's pumps the hospital uses -
it is "just" advertising, after all.
