I've been busy and just skimming the pros and cons of LLL catalog purchases
etc. Any way a mom can get info is a start. I think the mini catalogs
attached to Lansinoh products can only be a plus. Yes, there are more
ideal ways to impart info, one on one, but Any info is better than None.
It may help mom realize she needs to reach out to a human, whether it is
via LLL, hospital LC or private LC.
I also get the impression that some folks on Lactnet are too insulated.
Focusing on the one right thing to do. If I have learned anything in my 33
plus years in this field it is that we have to start where the mom is. We
can't impart our ideals and values, it is a growing process as mom evolves
as a mom/parent. Moms have to do what is comfortable for them - "right" or
"wrong" in our eyes. We can't do it for them. It is OK for us to have
lofty ideals, just don't be so critical when others don't go or think the
same way. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
