Many companies and esp. LC's have logos depicting, in some loving and
discreet manor, a mother and a nursling.
The interpretation by the reader would then only suggest one method of
feeding babies; the only one that really counts, the mother-feeding the
baby. Recently, I gave my daughter in law a baby shower. I too was
appalled to
see the many wrapping paper, shower cards and gift ties
which spoke to bottle feeding babies. Never have I seen
gift wrapping solely for the breastfed infant. I personally
find it insulting; therefore, the shower cake depicted a logo I designed for
the cake, that of a nursing mother and
newborn. The party favors-baby buggies with little blue ribbons make of
white chocolate-chocolate being the universal flavor for any party
celebration. I may add as
well-that I was the only person in attendance who even
noticed.....
