L.J., It takes a pretty serious defect for a baby to need fluid
restrictions, in my experience. Granted, I'm no cardiologist, but one
of my twins has an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD, a hole between the two
upper chambers of the heart and it's a pretty good sized one. I always
nursed her and although she is petite, her growth curve was always on
tract, and I was a petite child also.
(here I go with the "self disclosure" stuff!)
