Becky,
I believe your post is regarding a recent client of mine. I did post
regarding her situation and the suggestions that I got I passed along to her.
She had a SNS to use but did not find it particularly helpful. She told me
that she was not able to pump much between child care and caring for the new
baby. After about 2 1/2 -3 weeks with close watch on the baby, as well as
trying what we could to increase mom's supply, mom felt that she could not
continue and I gave her "permission" to stop. She was very relieved at the
time, felt she could now enjoy her time with the baby. She had been very
stressed and worried over the situation which I am sure did not help matters.
After one last follow-up call I have not heard from her. I wonder if
doperimone will be able to help her as well as faithful pumping. But I also
worry that if this mom "fails" again she may have other issues to deal with.
She was a very "uptight" mom, trying so hard to do the right thing. I would
go very easy here.
