In talking to WIC mom's in the past about how the baby's feeding pattern will
play out, I have had Mom write down everything she puts to her mouth (liquid
and solid) for 12 hours. Then count how many times she "snacked" even if it
was getting a small glass of water out of the faucet on the way by in the
kitchen. VERY FEW people go 4 hours between "feeds"-even 3 hours was not
seen very often. It really gave these women a better idea of their own
eating habits and much more understanding of their infants. It also pointed
out in living color why I do better with my weight control when I'm at work
then when I'm at home and have easy access to the stuff I like.
