But Nikki you said "cleared mec and then no BM for 2 weeks". I have also
worked with a few babies who started the infrequent stooling right from the
get go( and as you said fed well, grew etc.and I monitored closely until
sure they were just doing their own thing), but none who didn't stool at
all for 2 weeks after passing mec.
My theory has always been that the baby who does this(infrequent stooling)
grows rapidly, uses milk efficiently and just doesn't have much left over.
I also haven't ever seen a correlation with later bowel problems. And when
they go, it is usually a mudslid, requiring bathing and complete change of
