Maybe I'm being simplistic, but could it be that the mothers are just
more in tune with their children, and being more sensitive, they read
children's behavior that asks for more time and attention as difficult?
Especially when compared with bottle-feeding counterparts?  I always
tell new moms that I've read that it's the more intelligent baby that
won't quit crying until his need is met!
