I had a run in with a neo this am about a mom who is pumping for a 545 gram
baby. Mom is still on Tylenol 3 for her c/s pain and the neo said "no breast
milk until she is off". Mom is not too motivated to pump anyway - I suggested
she pump anyway and save the milk for when baby is bigger or pump and dump
until I can show the dr better information. (He had consulted Briggs and said
that it is written for f/t babies!)
Am going to give him a copy of Hale and try to do the math to calculate how
much this baby would get in 2 cc/3 hours!
HELP!
