Don't know about N. America, but in Norway, one 1 ml ampule of Pitocin, containing 10 international units of this synthetic oxytocin, is mixed in a liter of IV solution, giving a concentration of 1 unit per 100 ml, or 0.1 unit per 10 ml, or 0.01 unit per ml.
Anybody know whether IUs for Pitocin and oxytocin are equivalent?
