libby, i am curious, what do the initials CHES stand for? i think i have
figured out the masters in public health part (correct?). with all due
respect, from the nature of your questions, i think the very best thing you
could do for this mother is to put her in contact with a good lactation
consultant. although despite knowledge about breastfeeding preemies and
kangaroo care being plentiful, those aren't things that happen too often
around here, anyway. good luck to her,
