the towel rolled up and placed under the breast is a routine suggestion to
help mothers with large breasts. what also can help (and i didn't invent
this, i got it straight from jack newman, who is not lactnet right now and so
can't defend himself against any interpretation of his advice i might offer)
is a sling, made from cloth or whatever (i like to use wide coban) that goes
around the neck and under the breast. very useful.

pink coban for girl babies, blue for boys (just kidding, i only have purple).

the good feature of the towel is, of course, that if you position it so some
sticks out, it can also help catch leaks.
