I would think that "good news for depressed moms" would be announcing the
government 's plan to support paid maternity leave in the US!
This reminds me of the time I was working with a bfing mom who was a medical
student's wife. She was totally responsible for caring for and tandum
nursing a toddler and an infant in a 1 bedroom apartment on a student's
income, and trying to tutor her husband through med school. She had to try to
keep both children quiet when he was studying, feed his buddies, keep the
place clean, do laundry etc. Then when she announced to her OB/Gyn that she
was exhausted and overwhelmed, the MD's plan was for her to wean the babies,
take anti depressions and have more sex! He explained that sex made a person
feel more energetic!
