Sue,
I have used the same "story" successfully w/ nsy nurses. For example, I said
remember when we used to put babies to sleep on their stomachs? We have had
to change this due to new research. Hmmmm, yes, they say. Remember when we
used to xxxx (whatever). Then I say, we are health PROFESSIONALS and we have
to change our practice based on what is research-based and current. I bring
in lots of articles for our bulletin board. And the LCs in my office are
pooling our $$ for an office subscription to Acad. Of BF Med. newsletter so
that we have lots of good stuff coming from docs for docs. This is always
the most beleiveable, credible stuff for hcps of all kinds. Good luck.
